Gary Numan will tour Australia for the first time in almost 30 years when he returns to the country in March. The electro pioneer, known for his groundbreaking albums Replicas, The Pleasure Principle and Telekon, will play shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. He last played in Australian in 1980. One show from that tour, recorded at Sydney's Capitol Theatre, was recently released as the live album Engineers. As well as his older material, Numan will play songs from his most recent albums, Exile, Pure and 2006's Jagged. Numan is set to release two new albums in the coming months. The UK's most intriguing boutique music festival is to hit Australian shores this summer featuring a line-up hand-picked by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. The All Tomorrow's Parties concept involves an artist or band being selected to headline and curate the event, and then hand-picking the remainder of the bill. The first announcement of acts for the Australian version of the festival picked by our Nick include a re-formed early line-up of seminal Brisbane band The Saints, Ed Kuepper's other influential act, The Laughing Clowns, and a diverse cross-section of local and international artists including Spiritualized, Silver Apples, Harmonia, James Blood Ulmer, Robert Forster, The Stabs, Rowland S Howard, Afrirampo and F*ck Buttons. The Australian All Tomorrow's Parties festival will be thrown in January 2009 with shows taking place at Mount Buller in Victoria, at Sydney's Cockatoo Island and at a series of shows in Brisbane.   AddTo...

The Perth leg of the upcoming Simple Plan tour has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Simple Plan were to have commenced their Australian tour at Metro City on October 14, however unavoidable scheduling conflicts have forced the cancellation of the gig, with the band now set to commence their tour in Newcastle on October 16. The band hopes to return to Perth in the near future.
